Will there be tests and/or quizzes?

There will be quizzes after we complete reading collections in both Language
Arts and in US History. Tests will be administered at the end of each unit and
will be weighted heavier than quizzes. Each quarter there will be an
assessment to determine what standards have been met and what, if any,
intervention is needed. These will not count against your grade.

Will the homework be different from what we do in class?

Yes. You will be expected to turn in a Reading Log or Writing Log every
Monday and complete a book report once per month. Also you will have weekly
spelling packets that will be due on Friday's. If you do not complete your
classwork than that becomes homework.
