Welcome Cougars!

The mission of Clarkmoor Elementary School is, in partnership with parents and the JBLM community, to prepare students to be successful members of a democratic society and the world by providing them with quality curriculum, instruction, and support.

Summer READING and MATH logs are coming home soon. We want each student to read at least 100 minutes and practice math for 60 minutes each week. Students can record their minutes and then bring it to school twice during the summer (July 25 and August 22) to show Miss Gayson. If they have met their goal, they will get an ice cream bar.

Students tend to lose academic ground over the summer. Please ensure they are keeping their academic skills up by reading and practicing math during the summer. IXL will be availabe for students to use over the summer.

JOIN US FOR THE ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL ON AUGUST 29 FROM 3-5PM. This is where you will meet your teacher, see your classroom, drop off your school supplies and get an ice cream cone.

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2013

From the Principal

Breakfast is free to all students and served from 7:30 to 7:45am. Students eating breakfast must be at school by 7:45am to have time to eat. Classes start at 8am.

Welcome to Clarkmoor Elementary School, home of the Cougars! I am excited to be your principal and honored to be part of the JBLM community.

Clarkmoor is a community of learners, where students, staff, and families work together to achieve academic and social success for all students. Parent involvement plays a key role in student success. I encourage you to join our PTO and volunteer in the school at any level you are able to. Strong partnerships between the school and famiies are essential.
