This is my 5th year at Clover Park High School as a Power House math teacher.
I worked for one year before that in the Los Angeles Unified School District
at Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, California. I have taught
Geometry all six years, and this is my second year teaching Statistics. I
earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics as well as my Secondary
Teaching Certificate from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington in the
Spring of 2005. I am currently working on my Master's in Education Degree
with an emphasis in the At-Risk Learner as well as my Professional Teaching
Certification at the University of Washington, Tacoma. I will finish the
program in Summer of 2011. I am a huge sports fan, and hold a special place
in my heart for the Pittsburgh Steelers (professional football), the
Pittsburgh Penguins (professional hockey), the Gonzaga Bulldogs (college
basketball), and the Boise State Broncos (college football). I love to run,
and have completed several races over the past couple years. My biggest
accomplishment to date is that I completed the Portland Marathon in October
2007. I am planning to start training again for the 2011 Portland Marathon
with the hopes of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
My goal is to help each student leave my class at the end of the year with a
deeper appreciation and more knowledge of math than they entered with.
