Hi there!
My name is Carrie McDougle. You may know me as Mrs. McDougle or Ms. Mac for
short ;)
I am the teacher librarian at Custer Elementary School. This is my second year
here at Custer and I couldn’t be happier.
My husband and I live in Lakewood with our dog, Gunter, and a turtle, Sam. I
also have a horse, Judge, who lives at a stable. I have lived in Washington the
majority of my life, spending most of my childhood in Port Angeles. I also
spent some time in Kodiak, Alaska when I was very young and then after high
school. I love being near the mountains and water.
Outside of school I like to spend time riding my horse, playing with Gunter,
and cooking. I also like to read to learn about new things. If I have a
question or a wonder I will usually investigate it further to satisfy my
curiosity. Lately, some of the topics include tablet computing, gaming, and
website development.
I have three goals as a teacher librarian
1. Engage and Empower learners
2. Connect and Collaborate with teachers
3. Manage and Maintain the media collection at the school
