Welcome to our classroom! There are many things I would like you to know
about me. I have been married for twenty-two years and have two wonderful
children. Alyssa is 20 and Matthew is 16. It is hard to believe I have a
child in college and one in highschool. This summer we were busy
visting family in Arizona and I was lucky enough to make a trip to Colorado
where I hiked and enjoyed spending time with my sister. We have two silly
dogs,Maggie and Roxy.
I have been a teacher for 19 years. I graduated from Arizona State
University, then went on to get my Master's degree from City University. I
am also a National Board Certified Teacher, which was a huge
professional accomplishment for me. I taught Kindergarten
in Arizona, then the rest of my years have been in First Grade.

My mission for the class is to develop student's reading, writing and math
skills to his/her fullest potential while creating a postive, safe learning
environment where all children will be respected and appreciated for who they
are.
Students will work in cooperative groups in order to foster teamwork and
effective communication.
My mission is to always have open communication with parents so that we
can work together as a team in the growth and development of our children,
and to promote the fundamentals of responsibility and accountability students
should have in order to succeed.
