What is Lit for Kids?
A website dedicated to kids, books, families and a LOVE of reading. It’s easy to feel daunted by the
millions of fantastic books and options out there and at a loss for where to start in choosing books
for that special child (or children!) in your life. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or
teacher you could use some suggestions on how to begin-and where to go from there.

This website has links to many interactive activities for students to work
on the mastery of the Washington's grade level expectations. The site does
not show Washington's GLE's, but many of the links will take you to content
that is very useful. There are a few differences in spelling, if you are
accessing content from Canada or the United Kingdom, but students usually
find this interesting. The site addresses the core subjects for K-8.
