Carol Olsen, Regional Representative for Quilts of Valor, presents a special gift. Carol created a "Quilt of Courage" for the students of Evergreen and in the center block wrote a dedication for them. "Courageous Children touched by war". It will hang in the auditorium of the school. |
Ms. San Nicolas and Ms. Makowski's class study Camille St. Saens, the composer . These students in these classes listened to the composition "Carnival of the Animals" written by St. Saens and learned to identify the animal by listening to the sounds created by instruments that imitated the voices and movement of the animals. Then they created the animals that were described by the music for their own carnival of animals! |
