Emergent Writing
Writing?!? You may be thinking.... My child can't write yet and many are just having problems with correct letter formation! Don't worry! While I have a few student who are able to "sound-spell" words, the majority Kinderfriends are not able to do so and are somewhere on the emergent writing spectrum. At this point, we are writing "as if" we know how to write.
You can support your child be being excited
at whatever they put on the page
. Writing is a skill that will naturally develop over the course of this year. Please just be supportive and ask them to follow with their finger as they share their "writing" with you. You can also notice any letters they have included in their writing at this point.
