Tiffany Martin- Co President

(by Terri Klemmer)

Tiffany Martin has two adorable daughters. Bailey is a fourth grader here
at Fryelands and Paige is starting Kindergarten this year.
Tiffany got our PTA growing strong in our inaugural year by taking the reigns
to plan the first all school event for Fryelands in August 2005 called
Funfest. Through her efforts, we have a tight knit and strong PTA. Funfest
was one of our most successful events to date! Tiffany has also served as our
Teacher/Staff appreciation coordinator. In 2006, she teamed with Canyons
restaurant to cater a luncheon for the entire staff. In 2007, she and Kelly
Olsen single handedly created a magical week for the teachers and staff that
included a Hollywood "Walk of Fame" down the school hallways. I think I speak
for all of us when I say that we are proud to have Tiffany as one of our
PTA Presidents.

Terri Klemmer- Secretary

I am excited to be a part of the Fryelands PTA executive board again this
year. I am honored to have the privilege to work with so many wonderful
people and to help make Fryelands the best school in Monroe!

My family and I have lived in Monroe since the fall of 2001. I grew up in
Kirkland and my husband, Ryan, grew up in Maltby. He is a '91 Monroe High
School grad. Ryan and I have two kids. Austin is a fourth grader and Jade is
in second grade.

In addition to my PTA involvement, I work at the YMCA in the Adventure
Zone/Childwatch and a few mornings a week at the front desk. Come by sometime
 and say "Hi"

I look forward to helping the Fryelands PTA continue to provide programs and
activities to enrich our children's educations and lives.

Jeff Presley- Principal

I feel lucky and honored to be the principal of Fryelands Elementary
School. I have spent my entire career in education (17 years) in Monroe
Public Schools, starting at Salem Woods Elementary as a 3rd and 4th grade
teacher. I also taught 6th grade at Frank Wagner Middle School. I enjoyed
being a District Mentor for new teachers in our district while completing my
administrative internship. I have been an Assistant Principal at Monroe
Junior High and Monroe Middle School as well. During my college years, I
worked as an Educational Assistant and even as a Custodian. I am currently
in my dream job, as an elementary school principal.

I have a very wonderful wife of over 20 years named Lola, and two awesome
kids, Ty and Joslyn. My son is a high school sophomore and my daughter is in
6th grade at Hidden River Middle School. We really enjoy our family time on
the weekends and our special family trips (which usually occur during the summer).

Pam Wheatley- Teacher Rep

I am pleased to be included on the P.T.A. council again this year as a
teacher representative with Deb Morrell. In the 20 years I have been
teaching and as a parent of three children that have all gone through
Monroe's public schools, I have seen the importance of having an active
P.T.A. So much learning takes place that is purposeful, planned, and
provided by parents/guardians! I really appreciate the time and energy put
forth by the board members and everyone who participates here at Fryelands
Elementary. On a personal note, my husband teaches at the high school and
pastors a local church. Our daughter is a college sophomore; we have a son
who just graduated from college and another grown son living in Seattle. We
have lived in Monroe for over 20 years. I began my career as a fifth grade
teacher in Boise, Idaho, then taught sixth grade for 3 years, later going
back to fifth for 4 years in Snohomish. Now I teach second grade and love it!
