Welcome to Greenwood!

Greenwood Elementary School is a small school on the south end of Ft. Lewis just across Interstate-5 from the small town of DuPont. We're part of the Clover Park School District which serves the community of Lakewood, along with our Army and Air Force families in the south Puget Sound region. We welcome students in Pre-school through grades 5 and feed into Woodbrook Middle School which is just outside the Logistics Center gate to McChord AFB. We hope you're very curious about our school, and our community, and have provided links on this page to some resources that we hope satisfy that curiosity. If you explore this site you'll also find information about our learning programs here, about our staff, school policies, curriculum, schedule, etc. If there's information you'd like us to post on this site, please just let us know. We hope your time with us feels well spent and that when you leave Greenwood you carry us in your hearts.

Our Principal's Voice

Principal Photo
I feel truly honored to have been selected as the new principal for Greenwood's learning community, made up of our students, staff, parents, and all those here at Ft. Lewis who help and support us. Many of you may be curious about my background and qualifications so I've created an "About Your Principal" page to share all of that information.

During my first year here at Greenwood my mission is to listen and gather information from everyone in our learning community about what works well, what needs some attention, what we should celebrate and what we may need to create, all with the Big Idea of "What is best for kids?" in mind. To that end I encourage all of you to call (253.583.5262), email (awolfe@cloverpark.k12.wa.us) or stop by (since my first focus is kids and instruction you may have to either wait a bit or make an appointment to return) to share your thoughts with me.

Our focus now is on those first days of school. All of us should be taking the time now to prepare for the upcoming school year. Please go to our "Ready-Set-Go for a Successful Year!" page for loads of great information about how you, as a parent, can help get the year off right for your child.

The coming year promises much for us all: from deployments, reunions, and reassignments, to meeting reading goals, mastering the monkey bars and gaining math confidence. We've all heard it said that the only thing we can count on is change, but as part of the Greenwood community we all can also count on each other.

I hope that you and your Greenwood student(s) are looking forward to the coming year as much as all of us. Welcome, and Welcome Back, to Greenwood!
Sincerely, Angela Wolfe
