Welcome to either Algebra 2/Trig, Algebra 2, or Algebra Concepts class, I will be your math teacher for the academic school year. I recently received my degree in Mathematics with a teaching option at Washington State University. During my collegiate career in the Palouse, I was apart of the Track & Field team. I competed all four years in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100 meters and sometimes the 4x400 meters (for training purposes). I was also very active in the community. I was the president for S.A.A.C (Student- Athlete Advisory Committee), P.A.C (Peer Academic Counseling) for incoming student-athletes, Multicultural Student Mentor/Leader, F.T.L.O.C (Future Teachers and Leaders Of Color). Over the summer, I have been quite busy, travelling all over the country, my favorite stop being Washington DC! Currently, I am the JV soccer coach for Southridge High School, and have been helping out over there for the entire summer. Also over the summer, I was apart of the coaching staff for the program FOFA (Focus on the Female Athlete) at Southridge, a weight lifting/conditioning program for athletes to excel in their individual sports. Coaching Track and Field is my main love! My biggest coaching accomplishment came this past Spring (May 2008) with Southridge High School as the assistant sprints coach. My 4x100 team placed 2nd at State and came back in the 4x200 to place 1st, with an all-area leading time! This upcoming Spring, I will be the Head Girls Track and Field coach at Hanford High. I am extremely excited to bring my knowledge of the sport to the program and help these athletes accomplish their goals! I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you, and look forward to a fun-filled school year!
