Message from the Principal

Idlewild Families,
Starting Monday April 15th, for the safety and protection of our students and staff, we will be locking the gates on the north side of the building every day at 8:10 am. This is the side of the building that faces the student pick up parking lot. The gates will be locked from 8:10 am until 2:25 pm everyday. If you arrive late you will need to walk around the gym and enter the office from the front. We appreciate your support as we work to make Idlewild as safe as possible for all of our students and staff.

It is that time of year again when we complete our intent to return form. If you are on a waiver please make sure that you complete a NEW waiver form (a new form must be completed each year). Our enrollment has been increasing by a classroom a year. Unfortunately we are out of space and continued growth will be difficult for our building to support. So please get your waivers in early to ensure you have a secured position for the 2013-14 school year. Once we have reached capacity we will no longer be able to accept waivers. A reminder to Idlewild Families.
Please take some time to register for the Skyward Family Access portal. The portal provides parents and family members with important information regarding their student’s education and is easy to use! Skyward Family Access can help with:
*Communication with teachers and administrators;
*Access to your students’ grades and attendance;
*Notification of upcoming events; and
*Updates to you students’ demographic information.
The Skyward Family Access portal is easy to find on our school website. Simply scroll down to latest news and click on the Skyward link and sign in. If you need an access code or have questions, please call Idlewild Elementary at 253.583.5290.
