MRS. LEYDE
This will be Mrs. Leyde's sixth year teaching fourth grade at Jason Lee.
She started at Jason Lee teaching third grade. As a former Jason Lee
student, Mrs. Leyde has fond memories of the old Jason Lee, but loves the
new building. Having taught elementary and middle school, Mrs. Leyde's
favorite group is the fourth graders. They are fun, energetic, and love
learning. Mrs. Leyde also teaches dance classes after school. Her husband
is the head boy's basketball coach at Kennewick High, where he is also a
teacher. In their free time Mr. & Mrs. Leyde love to travel, read, and spend
time with their two dogs, Molly and Nixon. This past summer the Leyde's
added to their family. She is enjoying her mornings at home for the start of
the school year with the new baby. During the morning time, Mr. Piippo will
be here helping out. He is a former Jason Lee student as well, and we are
glad to have him as part of our team!
MR. PIIPPO
While Mrs. Leyde is home in the mornings on Maternity Leave, Mr. Piippo will
be here. Mr. Piippo student taught last year at Jason Lee with Mrs. Neill.
He is a former Jason Lee student and WSU graduate. He enjoys working with
the students and his young, energetic personality is a great plus. Mrs.
Leyde is lucky to have such a great guy to be here while she is home with
Quincy.
Mrs. Leyde want students to work hard to become responsible, independant
workers. In the process of working hard, we also want to have lots of fun!
