This year marks the beginning of the twelfth year that I have been
fortunate enough to teach 5th grade at Jason Lee with my colleagues Mr.
Ryder, and Mr. Schuster. My husband, Brian Neill, and I are both educators.
He currently teaches special education math at Richland High School. Our
hands are pleasantly filled at home with our toddlers, Ian (3) and
Sophia (21 mths). When we are notgrading papers, or planning for upcoming
lessons, we like to go out to dinner, take walks, and visit antique shops. I
attended Central Washington University and have a degree in Elementary and
Special Education. I also have a Master's degree from Heritage University. I
look forward to working with you and your child.
Our mission in 5th grade is to help prepare students to make an easy
transition into middle school. We focus on academics, organization,
responsibility, and integrity. Our goal is to build a strong community of
learners through a variety of experiences including our outdoor science
education camp. We strive to create a safe learning environment where every
student is making progress toward their goals.
