conferences.
- First: Legend of Sleepy Hollow annotated reading. I am looking to see
how you annotate so the directions are minimal. As you read, make
notations in the margins to show important portions of the writing. On
the left-hand side, mark ideas and themes in the reading. On the right-
hand side mark any lit. devices you find and important vocabulary
words. Show that you are aware of the author's ariting methods.
- Second item: Creative writing! Design a quality piece of descriptive
writing based upon a place in nature that interests you. It can a
forest, field, ocean, street, planet - anything that is involved in
nature. Your writing will be double-spaced typed. It can describe
something beautiful, dangerous, haunting or sad. Make sure to use
imagery and atleast three other lit devices. Length should be QUALITY:
(1 to 3 paragraphs - 3/4 page to a full page.)
-First draft should be edited by qualified person of your choice.
Have them sign that page.
- Second draft: Highlight all lit devices you used and label each
one clearly with a pen or pencil.
- Provide a final, perfect page on top.
