To start off, I was born in northern California, Santa Rosa to be exact. My
family and I moved to Aloha, Oregon when I was about 4 years old. After
spending a few years in Aloha, we moved up to beautiful Camas, Washington. I
began my education in the Camas schools as I entered my 4th Grade year at
Lacamas Heights Elementary. I spent a few years at JDZ, Skyridge and
graduated from Camas High School in 2003. After my years at CHS, I accepted a
soccer scholarship at Western Washington University where I planned on
studying Secondary Education. After two years of soccer at Western, I
realized it wasn't the right fit and I transfered to Concordia University in
Portland. I was named captain of the soccer team, went to the National
Championships and graduated with my K-8 teaching endorsement. I took a long
term substitute position at Liberty Middle School at the 8th grade level for
Mrs. Gibson (LA/SS). The next year I subbed around the district, then picked
up a long term substitute position for Mrs. Cotton at the end of the year
last year. This past summer I received my Health/Fitness endorsement.
I coach soccer at the premier level, the youth level with the Portland
Timbers, I'm the Director of Youth Development within Washington Soccer
Academy and I am also an assistant coach for the boys soccer program at Camas
High School. I've been running soccer camps and clinics in the community for
the past 9 years.
I enjoy sailing with my family, spending time with friends, coaching and
playing soccer, training soccer players, and anything that has to do with the
outdoors. I snowboard, hike, wakeboard, and run a lot.
This will be my second year teaching Health at Liberty Middle School. Looking
forward to a great year!
