About The Teacher
Hello! Welcome to Liberty Middle School! I'm looking forward to a great year of learning and FUN! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have been teaching 5th and 6th in the Camas School District for 15 years. Teaching in public schools is really my third professional career. I worked for United Airlines for 15 years as a flight attendant and supervisor and then changed careers and was a Montessori teacher for 6 years. I consider myself a life long learner who isn't afraid to try something new. I earned my K-8 teaching credential from Pacific University and my Master Degree in Education from University of Portland. In 2004 I became a National Board Certified Teacher. I am married and the mother of four grown children.My husband and I share five acres in Fern Prairie with our dog, Kennedy. For fun we enjoy traveling, relaxing with family and friends, and sailing.
