Classroom Expectations & Consequences
It is not only my job but also my desire to teach you, help
you reach your goals, provide a safe learning environment. In order for this to happen, here are our
classroom expectations and the consequences.
Expectations:
The 5 B’s
Be
on time and in assigned seat when class starts
Be
prepared – agenda & materials ready when class starts, and homework
completed on time
Be
an active participant in all we do and follow directions
Be
respectful of the rights, property, and safety of others & listen
to the speaker
Be
responsible – do the right thing
1) When
I raise my hand and/or say “Give Me Five”, you should be silent, in your seat facing
forward and eyes on me.
2) Stay
in your seat unless given permission to move
3) Keep
hands, feet, and objects to yourself
4) Backpacks,
bags, and/or purses remain on the floor
5) No
perfumes, sprays, or scented lotions are allowed in my classroom and do not
apply them right before coming to the classroom
* I have asthma and others do too
6) Raise
your hand to ask/answer a question
*Allow thinking time for all students
7) Have
at least two sharpen pencils and your homework ready each day
8) All
papers must have the proper heading *See
poster in the classroom for a reminder
9) Use
pencil. Pen is used for corrections (Blue
or Red ink only)
10) Show
your learning. Check your learning.
11) Fill
out your agenda hall pass before being excused from the classroom and sign the
sign-out clipboard
12) Water
in clear bottles is OK; Gum is OK unless I see it, hear it, or touch it
13) Follow
the exit directions to be dismissed from class

14) The
document camera, projector, table, SMART Board, whiteboards, cabinets/closets, computer,
and my desk are all off limits unless you have been given permission to use
them
