The class of Room 11 has been doing a lot of academics, such as:

working on problem solvers in math.  We are learning to solve problems and find reasonable solutions using strategies we are working on.

 

and word processing our narrative essays on what we want to be when we grow up.

Yummy!

We do "book talks" for each other to tell about the books we read in class.  It is also a terrific way for us to show how we understand the stories!  Try this at home for extra practice to become even better readers!

In math, we showed our solutions on the board so that we could look at each other's work and give support and discuss the math we were doing.

You'll notice that we are working on multiplication stories!

 

What a nice time on Family Fun Hour!  Thank you to all who could make it!

The games that were played were Close To 100, Collect $2.00, and Capture 5.  These are games that go with our curriculum and the kids have been working on them to strengthen their math facts and number sense!

The parents won a few rounds and the kids won a few rounds!!!

The kids had to teach the games to their folks!  They are very good teachers!!!
