In general, homework is assigned Monday through Thursday and is due the next
day. For the weekend, the only homework is reading and recording for your
Reading Log. This is a graded part of our homework in 2nd grade, so read at
least 10-15 minutes every day! Our math program includes games and
activities for families along with skills practice, and you'll see these as
homework quite often. Spelling is another important part of homework. The
weekly list will go home on Mondays, along with suggestions for daily
review. Students who are passing their Friday spelling tests are not
required to turn in their spelling homework, but those students who miss
more than 2 of our 12 words will need to turn in their homework or make it
up during recess or free time.
