My name is Irma Brown. I have a BA from the University of Missouri and an MA
from Michigan State University. I have been teaching at Park Lodge since it
opened eleven years ago and in the Clover Park District for over twenty
years. Before moving to this area, I also taught in Texas, California,
England, Japan, and the Philippians. I have spent most of my career teaching
primary students but also enjoyed teaching grades four and five. I have
three adult children and two darling granddaughters, ages three and four. My
husband is retired from the Air Force.
As an educator, my mission is to instill a love of learning in students by
encouraging them to always question, inquire and seek new knowledge. My
favorite quote is, "Learning is a journey, not an end." I marvel as students
grapple with new concepts and experience the satisfaction of figuring out an
answer for themselves.
