Welcome back to Park Lodge. I am very excited to see everyone again and to meet some new faces. As you know, my room will again host a multi-age class of 4th and 5th grade students. We have brand new math curriculum materials this year. I will assess all of our students to determine their current grade level ability in both reading and math. This will allow me to teach strategic lessons for all the students rather than assigning then the text at their numeric grade level. Science and social studies will be combined this year do to scheduling conflicts in the library. So, if your child seems to be doing more science and social studies units than others, they probably are.
Feel free to call between 7:00 - 7:55, 12:15 – 1:30, or after school if you have any questions or concerns. You can also send a note in your child's planner, which I check daily, or email me (please include your child's name in the subject line).
