Welcome
Welcome to our school! Our school follows the Paideia model. This model is designed to prepare each student to earn a living, be a good citizen, and pursue life-long learning. Paideia expects high academic achievement from all students and believes that it is society's duty to provide them with the opportunity to learn.

Message from the Principal
Dear Park Lodge Families,
Ever since the news of the fallen Lakewood Police officers was broadcast on Sunday morning, people from all over the world immediately began to react. They were shocked, saddened and afraid, but also responded with care, concern and compassion. Staff, students and parents of the Park Lodge family have expressed disbelief, sorrow and an intense desire to help.
In order to respond to the need for some emotional release as well as a call to act, we have created a plan that we believe will answer both. Using the school-wide Kindness Campaign as the impetus, students under the direction of Mrs. Abdella, Mrs. Bringer and their teachers will write letters and create artwork to be given to the families. Additionally, a Penny Drive (or other change) will commence immediately and conclude on December 18th with the dollar amount raised by the students matched by the PTA. These proceeds will be donated to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Benevolence Fund that has been established for the children and families left behind by the fallen officers.
It is our sincere hope that by combining efforts with the outpouring of international support funneling in to this fund, our impact on the families will be greater than it would be on its own.
We are asking that you look around for any change that might be lying around the house, gather it up, put it in a zip lock bag or an envelope and put it in your child’s backpack and send it to school. Each morning, teachers will send students to the office to add their money to the fund and watch it grow in a clear water container. PTA will match the student total and all of the money will be donated to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Benevolence Fund and designated for the families of the fallen officers. You may also make an online donation at: http://www.lpig.us/
Between our Food Drive and the Penny Drive, we are showing our students how they can make a positive difference in our community and the power of kindness. We thank you for your outpouring of thoughts and prayers and hope that you will find some degree of comfort as a participant with us in our efforts.
With Warm Regards,
The Park Lodge Staff

Thank you to everyone who helped make the book fair a success. The fair brought in over $4,000, a portion of which will benefit the library. A special thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers who kept the fair running throughout the day! You are appreciated!!!

Drop Off and Pick Up of Students
Please do not drop your child off before 7:30 in the morning. There is not consistent supervision and we will need to call families to ensure safety at all times. At 7:30, students may be dropped off and go to the gym for free breakfast. They do not need to come to the office area. We have opened the car drop off in the front of the school in the morning. This is easing congestion and hopefully eliminating u-turns.
