Fifth Grade e-mail Information

Parents,

Fifth grade students are taking part in a pilot project to improve our student email system. We are testing out Google Apps, a free product from Google to education institutions which allows us to make use of Google servers for mail while still using our own domain names. The servers your student's email is stored on are no longer administered directly by district personnel in our district server room. They are stored remotely on Google's servers and managed remotely by us. They can access these services from any internet connected computer running Firefox or Internet Explorer 6 or greater.

Once any bugs have been ironed out, student access to school email should be more convenient and powerful than ever. Once fully implemented, this will also free up school district resources to work on other technology projects. If you have any questions or comments, please call or send an email.
