Read Chapter 7, pages 178-197.
Answer the questions at the end of each lesson.  
Be prepared to participate in a discussion and 
hand in your answers on Thursday, September 24
if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom and Friday, September 25 
if you are in Mr. Olmsted's homeroom.


9/24/09
Read Chapter 8, pages 200-217.
Be prepared for the chapter test on Thursday, October 1 
if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom and Friday, October 2 
if you are in Mr. Olmsted's homeroom.

10/07/09
Read Chapter 9, pages 220-237.
Take two column notes for each lesson and be prepared to take the 
chapter 9 test on Thursday, October 8 if you are in Mr. Olmsted's 
homeroom and Friday, October 9 if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom.
You will be able to use your notes to help you with the test. You 
will also be required to hand in your notes when you complete 
your test.

Read Chapter 10, pages 240-255.
Take two column notes for each lesson and be prepared to take the 
chapter 10 test on Thursday, October 29 if you are in Mr. Olmsted's 
homeroom and Friday, October 30 if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom.
You will be able to use your notes to help you with the test. You 
will also be required to hand in your notes when you complete 
your test.

Read Chapter 11, pages 264-283.
Take two column notes for each lesson and be prepared to take the 
chapter 11 test on Thursday, November 5 if you are in Mr. Olmsted's 
homeroom or on Friday, November 6 if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom.
You will be able to use your notes to help you with the test. You 
will also be required to hand in your notes when you complete 
your test.

11/06/09

Read Chapter 12 pages 288-307.
Use your copy of the Chapter 12 test to help you create the "Perfect" set of
two column notes. DO NOT TAKE THE TEST. Bring your test back to school on your
test day.
You will be able to use your notes to take the same Chapter 12 test on
Thursday, November 19 if you are in Mr. Olmsted's homeroom. Since we do not
have class on 11/11 because of Veteran's day or on 11/13 because of early
release, Mr. Snyder's homeroom will take the test and hand in their assignment
on Wednesday, November, 18.  You will be required to hand in your notes on
test day.

We will start a new chapter after Thanksgiving break. Enjoy your time off.

11/30/09
Read Chapter 13, pages 316-333. Answer the questions on the Constitution
worksheet and be prepared to discuss the questions in class on Monday,
December 7th if you are in Mr. Olmsted's homeroom and on Wednesday, December
9th if you are in Mr. Snyder's homeroom. Please write your answers to the
questions on a separate sheet of paper. Five extra credit points will be
awarded to students that type their answers.

Start learning about your state over Winter Break so that you will be prepared
to start your state report in January. Have a good vacation.
