Writing !!

-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Students are are working on a detective story activity where students will be working on a lengthy prewrite and then they write their story. Students may elect to save their drafts to complete later in the school year. If they want to finish them during this trimester for an extra credit grade, they may. All manuscripts must be turned in by November 11th. There will be very little time in class to complete the stories.

Poetry -

The criteria for poems is: poems do not have to rhyme but they must have a sense of rhythm (remember the song lyrics that we worked with). Poems must have a minimum of three stanzas with four lines in each. All poems must be typed centered using any font and clip and word art as desired. Students are encouraged to play with various rhyme schemes that they were taught in class.

Submit poetry for revisions/edit to Ms. Moon at any time during the week. When you have your final ready for publishing, turn in one copy to Ms. Moon for a grade and color a border on another draft for publishing.

Extra Credit

Students who love to write my submit "manuscripts" at any time for extra credit.
