Accelerated Class

We want to welcome you to our accelerated class at River’s Edge High School.
An accelerated class is different from a “traditional” high school class
because it is theme-based curriculum that allows students to earn more
credits in a semester than the traditional high school curriculum.
This semester our theme is "Choices for the Future" and the classes offered
for credit are; Environmental Science,Algebra Concepts, Language Arts 9, and
a vocational class, Personal Choices. These classes will be woven
together in our studies of the energy generation, usage, and conservation

Our teaching team agrees to provide a curriculum that satisfies the RSD
guidelines for earning the above credits. We also plan a student-centered,
activity oriented learning environment that will encourage students to develop
and to investigate their interests. We also pledge to a harassment free
atmosphere that allows all students to feel comfortable expressing their ideas
and trying new ways in learning in and out of the classroom.

Our teaching team includes Carol Krohn (Math & Language Arts), Margaret Novy
(Vocational Ed.), Darryl Morrison (Special Education) and Ann Autrey (Science).

Please feel free to contact us here at school if you have questions or you
would like to set up a meeting with your child's teachers.
