FORENSIC TIRE IMPRESSION EVIDENCE
The criminals have to get from point A to point B somehow and like most everyone else, they drive their own cars! Bus transportation can become so inconvenient when trying to rob a bank…
In this section of study you will learn about the design features of the typical car tire and you will come to learn that most tires are far from typical…that is to say, they each have a variety of class and individual characteristics that set them apart from others, much like shoeprints and fingerprints.
To begin:
Read pages 437-441 of the class text dealing with this subject matter.
Read the Chapter handout “Forensic Tire Impression and Tire Track Evidence” and type the answers to the 10 questions that appear on the last page.
The eleventh question that requires your response is to compare the two reading assignments and then list seven examples of tire impression evidence references found in both reading assignments.
This assignment is due Monday, November 16th.
