Weekly Reading/Book Log Homework:
Students are required to read for 15-20 minutes every night. They should
be reading a book at their reading level. I can help if you are having
difficulty finding a book. The reading is practice and should be done
INDEPENDENTLY. Ask to see the student's "book bag" for info on nightly
reading requirements and book projects and check out the Reading and Writing
documents page of this web site for instructions.
Weekly Spelling Homework:
The spelling page or pages will be assigned once a week. It will always be
due in 2 days. Each student has their own spelling words on a weekly list
and in a ziplock bag of flash cards.
They are expected to study these words every night. They will be tested on
these words every Friday and new words will be added to their lists and bags
weekly.
Assignments:
Monday 12-14:Book Log Due; 15 min independent reading and book log; Holiday
Project - make sure all supplies in in school this week. Lots of in class
time to complete project boards with your partner!
Tuesday 12-15: 15 min independent reading and book log; Holiday Project
Wednesday 12-16: 15 min independent reading and book log;Holiday Project
Board Due
Thursday 12-17: 15 min independent reading and book log; Holiday Project oral
presentation
Friday 12-18: HOLIDAY PROJECT OPEN HOUSE!!! 7am -8am Come and see all of the
student's hard work! 15 min independent reading and book log will be due Jan
2 - if you want to turn it in early on Friday so you won't forget over break
that would be great!
