Message from the Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome back our returning and new families to Southgate
Elementary School!

Our school prides itself on providing strong partnerships between our school
administration, teachers, and our students and their families. We have a caring
faculty, which is dedicated to the success of your children. We encourage you to get to know our Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Jeanette Mikita and Mrs, Alicia Hunsaker, our Parent Advocate. Mrs. Mikita will work to help our students develop important
social skills and will also consult with parents and teachers to find ways in which to support our
children. Mrs. Hunsaker will keep parents informed of all school wide events and help empower parents by building strong relationships between them and the school.
Maintain good communication with our school. Attend the important Parent-Teacher Conferences in the fall and the spring; these meetings are excellent opportunities to establish good communication with your child’s teacher.
Participate in school events; these will introduce you to our school personnel and will give your child the opportunity to show off their school! Volunteer your time and talents to Southgate to help your children grow!

Es mi placer darles una bienvenida a nuestras familias nuevas y a las que regresan a la Escuela Primaria de Southgate!Nuestra escuela se enorgullece en proporcionar solidas asociaciones entre la
administración de nuestra escuela, maestros y nuestros estudiantes y sus
familias. Tenemos una facultad solidaria, que se dedica al éxito de sus hijos. Le
animamos a conocer nuestra consejera, la Sra. Jeanette Mikita y nuestra
patrocinadora de los padres, la Sra. Alicia Hunsaker. La Sra. Mikita trabajará para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a desarrollar habilidades sociales importantes y también
consultara con los padres y maestros para encontrar maneras de apoyar a nuestros niños. La Sra. Hunsaker mantendrá s a los padres informados de todos los eventos escolares ayudar los ayudara mediante la
construcción de fuertes relaciones entre ellos y la escuela.
Mantenga buena comunicación con nuestra escuela. Asista las importantes conferencias de padres y maestros en el otoño y la primavera; estas reuniones son excelentes oportunidades para establecer buena comunicación con las/los maestras (os) de su hijo. ¡Participen en eventos de la escuela; estos les presentarán a nuestro personal de la escuela y le dará a su niño la oportunidad de mostrar su escuela!
