About Me
I was born and raised in Spokane, WA. I followed my two older brothers, Patrick and Connor, to Gonzaga University and majored in History with minors in Spanish and International Relations. After graduating, I was accepted into the Alliance for Catholic Education, a two year Master's program run out of the University of Notre Dame. I taught for two years in Los Angeles, CA before relocating to Seattle to teach at St. Anne. I am excited at the opportunity to teach at St. Anne.
Our Classroom
Students learn the best when they are
challenged to think in new ways, work with others, and apply their knowledge to
real world examples. As members of the Body of Christ, we are a dynamic force
that must be active participants in this world. Our education, then, should
call us to be more perfect members of that community.
Finally,
the learning environment should not only turn our eyes towards the greater
community outside our school’s walls, but also connect us with our peers. The
classroom should be a welcoming place where all are respected and loved as children
of God.
Fourth
grade marks an important change in elementary school. As we move into upper
elementary, students are expected to become more independent and responsible
learners. Our classroom environment is fun and loving, but is also a serious
place of learning and I expect the students to work hard and perform at a high
level. My goal is to create
independent, creative learners who make sound judgments and see God in those
around them.
