~WELCOME TO THE SUNNY HILLS SCI-TECH MAGNET ANNOUNCEMENT PAGE~

There is a great program that is collecting new/gently used children's shoes
for Haiti that PTA will support, while also collecting hats/gloves for local
needs. This is a great way to reach our "neighbors" both locally and
globally. Collection baskets will be in both room 710 and 711. Students can
bring donations this week and next week. This will run the week of Feb. 8-12.

1. Please remember that Sunny Hills policy is that parents
either wait in their car for pick up or wait in the courtyard in front of the
school. Parents are not allowed to wait outside of the classrooms.
Mrs. Erikson and Ms. Mensik also prefer that parents who would like to meet
for a conference email/call to set up an appointment. We have a lot of other
commitments during the week and would love to arrange a day that works best
for everyone. Thanks for your understanding!

2. Parents please check your student's planner every evening to find
home"fun" and important information. Please remember to initial
your student's planner and look over their homework before it is turned in.

3. Our snack time is around 10:30am. Please have your child pack a
snack in their lunch box or bring something separate for snack time.
Due to allergies your child may only bring fresh fruits or vegetables
for snack time. Students will not be allowed to drink juice or soda.

4. Bring a WATER BOTTLE!!! Please have your child's water bottle filled
EVERYDAY!!! They will have an opportunity during snack time to refill
their water bottle. Other refill times are during recess ONLY!

5. Please know that the office WILL NOT be calling into classrooms for
forgotten items (same as last year). If a student realizes they forgot
something, they will call at lunch unless it's an emergency. Students will NOT
be allowed to call from the classroom phones. Please remember to drop off
items to the office, not directly to the classroom.

6. Teacher Contact - If you need to contact us or your student during the
school day, please call the office directly. We can not guarantee that we will
have checked our email in time. Also, our classroom phones are turned off
during the day. You may call the classroom anytime between 3:38 - 4:15.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the above items. We would
love to answer any and all questions you may have! Please know that email is
the quickest way to receive a response from us!

Warmly,

Mrs. Erikson
Ms. Mensik
