INCLEMENT WEATHER 
AND SPECIAL SNOW ROUTES

Morning notification of school closures and delays are announced between 6:00 
and 7:30 a.m. on radio stations KGY (1240), KGY FM (96.9), KELA (1470), KXXO 
(96.1 FM), KMNT (102.9 FM), and KITI (1420); and TV stations KOMO, KING, and 
KIRO. Buses may operate on special "snow routes" as listed below. These radio 
stations will announce early dismissals due to inclement weather. Parents/ 
guardians should plan for adequate home supervision in the event that 
unscheduled early dismissal of students is necessary. If you have 
updated emergency information for your child, please contact the school 
immediately. If no announcement is made, schools and buses will be operating
on regular schedules. 

KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL: If school is delayed two hours or more, a.m. 
kindergarten and preschool classes will be cancelled. 

BREAKFAST: If school is delayed two hours or more, breakfast will be cancelled 
for that day. 

SPECIAL SNOW ROUTES


Parents/guardians must transport students to nearest stop whenever "SPECIAL 
SNOW ROUTE" schedule is in effect.

					BASIC SET OF BUS RULES

*	Follow directions the first time they are given, driver is in charge.

*	Be at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus arrives.

*	Take your seat quickly and orderly.

*	Please stay seated at all times.  No changing seats while the bus is in 
	

	motion.  Stay facing forward.

*	Students are to remain silent at railroad tracks and while crossing the 
	

	tracks.

*	Heads, hands, and arms are to remain inside the bus at all times.

*	No hitting, fighting, or pushing while on the bus or waiting for the bus.

*	Talk in a soft voice.

* 	No screaming or yelling while on the bus.

*	No vulgar language or profanity while on the bus.
