2nd Grade News
Mrs. Backstrom & Mrs. Parsons		Room 16	            December 1, 2009

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, celebrating all of our many 
blessings with your loved ones.  Family is truly one of God's greatest gifts.

We welcome you to join us this Friday from 12:30 - 3:00 to help fill the mugs 
that our class is assembling for the Craft Fair next Friday.  We have well 
over 100 mugs and they have always been a big seller.  The Craft Fair will 
take place next Friday, Dec. 11th, and it is a great opportunity for your 
child to buy Christmas gifts for family members which they can keep secret.

This Saturday morning, December 5th, we will be hosting a fund-raiser 
breakfast at Applebee's.  The cost is $5.00 per person for all-you-can-eat 
pancakes plus sausage and juice or coffee.  Tickets are available in the 
school office, or at the door on Saturday.  We hope to see you, and you will 
be served by familiar TRCS staff members!

Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. is the annual downtown Christmas parade.  TRCS 
will be entering a float and students and family members are welcome to walk 
along in the parade.  The starting point is at 4:30 at the PUD building and 
it will end at the post office.  Children will need to be picked up at the 
post office They will not be able to ride the float back to the PUD.  What a 
fun way to kick off the holiday season!
