Tips for studying for Mrs. Maldonado’s science class:
-
Each chapter is divided into several sections, and for each
section students are given “objectives” (what they should know by the end of
the section). Students are instructed to write these in their science
journals when I present them, and as we move through each section, students
are encouraged to take notes.
-
Each section also has Section Review questions which students
are to complete using complete sentences.
-
There are also vocabulary terms at the end of each chapter
which the students define using the glossary of their science text.
-
Finally, we also complete activities in our lab books.
When I write a chapter test, I compose questions from the
objectives, section reviews, vocabulary and labs. It is a good thing to review
these while we are working on the chapter and before a test.
Students may earn extra
credit by writing out responses to the objectives for each chapter prior to
the chapter's test.
