Welcome to our sixth grade/room 22 page!
December 14, 2009
This week we are finishing up some academic units, enjoying instructional presentations, playing/singing at Campus Towers, preparing Christmas gifts, and celebrating Jesus' coming. It promises to be a busy week.
We're planning a special gift for our second-grade buddies and need lots of small, wrapped candies. If you are able to help provide the candies, please send them in by Wednesday. Thanks so much!
On Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Harford will be sharing with us for our party time. They generously provide treats. As our "adopted" grandparents, they are truly a blessing.
School will be dismissed at 2:00 on Friday.
Our school will for the first time be participating in the National Geographic competition. All students in grades 4th-8th are eligible to compete, and our school competition will take place the second week in January. Students who have any bent at all toward geographical concepts would probably enjoy map-related/geographical-related gifts at Christmas. In addition, spending time on the National Geograhic website would be quite beneficial. I have a link on this site. Now that would be good time spent at the computer, for sure!
