Notes for Math Parents and Students:
Please stay up to date with your assignments. They should be done as you walk
in the day after they are assigned. If you get stuck, it's okay. Just set
the problem up as best you can, and then write down two things you tried to do
to get unstuck, and have a parent initial that problem. Leave space to fix it
the next day in class.
Parents, please have your students show the assignments below to you REGULARLY
(at least weekly, or more often if you like). At the end of each
Investigation, I'll put a note below when I'd like your initials next to each
task indicating you've seen your child's work.
Below you will find the list of problems and worksheets that should be in
students' notebooks. They should be completed and nicely presented within a
day of the assignment date:

------ "Thinking With Mathematical Models" ---------------------
The first week of February, we started our new text called Thinking With
Mathematical Models. In this book we look at things that are mathematically
related, but that do not make a straight line when graphed. Students will be
able to tell you what a non-linear relationship is, and give examples.
