Answer friend's lit letters. Turn in history paragraph redoes. These must meet the requirements on the rubric.
Thursday, Dec. 12
Lit letters are due today. All students are writing to classmates.
Wednesday, Dec. 9
Paragraphs are being handed back to be redone. The redone paragraphs which should follow a specific rubric are due Friday. These should be labeled, word processed (double spaced in a 14 pt. font with feet), and neatly put together. All paragraphs should include accurate information and detailed information. (See the rubric for more details of the requirements or paragraphs.)
Tuesday, Dec. 8
The first draft of 12 paragraphs are due today. All pairs or trios need to attach paragraphs together to turn them in.
Monday, Dec. 7
Revising due. This is further revision of the SAME pieces turned in Nov. 23.
Wednesday, Dec. 2
Thirteen colony project notes due. All notes should follow the Rule of 5. All sources should be cited on the notes. (It must be obvious where the notes came from.) The next step will be turning the notes into paragraphs written in your own words. Paragraphs will be due Dec. 8, but should not be in final draft form. Students may be asked to make corrections.
Monday Nov. 23
Revising due. Choose one of the pieces you've turned in as a rough draft. Revise the content.
Friday Nov. 20
Answer friend's lit letters.
Article summary due. Use the notes which were due Thursday.

Lit letters are due today. Some students are writing to Mrs. Wells. Others are writing to classmates.
IVF summary of the article chosen to take notes on is due today.

IVF worksheet continued. Students need to choose one article to read and take notes on.

Write two goals in the Think section of your planner. These should be goals to help you succeed academically this week.
IVF Summary worksheet due. This is practice writing the I, the V, the F, and then writing topic sentences using the information.
Monday, Nov. 16
First two assignments of 2nd quarter due: Thirteen colony map, 10 new pages of drafting (see Nov. 2 for details about drafting).

1) Caught' ya Sentences 4-6 are due.
2) Lit letter responses are due

1) Lit letters are due today. 12 students are writing to Mrs. Wells while the rest of the class is writing to another student. Next week a different 12 students will write to Mrs. Wells and so on.
2) IVF summaries of "Sick Days Colonial Style" are due today. Students started working on them in class yesterday.

Write two goals in the Think section of your planner. These should be goals to help you succeed academically this week.
Monday Nov. 2
10 pages of rough draft writing due. Write on one side of the
page, skipping lines. You may choose any topic(s). You may write ten
pages about one topic or any combination of pages adding up to 10 pages
about any number of topics (Examples: 2 pages about 1 topic, 8 pages about a 2nd topic; 5 pages about 1 topic, 5 pages about a 2nd topic; 3 pages about one topic, 3 pages about a 2nd topic, 4 pages about a 3rd topic; etc.) It is NOT final draft writing. Any one who wants to word process, may do so. Word processed drafts should be a plain font such as Times New Roman, size 12-14 pt, double spaced. Word processed drafting should be 3 and1/2 to 4 pages depending on the font size.
Friday Oct. 30
Answer friend's lit letters. We'll work on these in class so you understand the procedure and do a good job.
Thursday, Oct. 29
Lit letter to friend due. These should not be answered today. We will answer them during class time Friday.
