The 2009-2010 school year will be my twenty-fifth year in education. I have
been teaching humanities subjects to eighth graders for nineteen
years; fifteen of those years have been here at Marshall Middle School.
My team teaching partner is Julie McDougall. She is the math/science expert of
our team. We both have high expectations for ourselves and our students.
I am committed to helping students become successful readers and writers as
well as active learners in all areas. By the time eighth graders go to
Capital, they should be independent researchers, readers, and writers, and
creative thinkers.
In addition, this will be my ninth year as varsity girls basketball coach
at Capital High School. My win-loss record is 139-61, the best record for
varsity girls basketball in Capital's history.
