| • All performances are REQUIRED. If an emergency arises and you
have to miss a concert, you MUST bring a signed, written excuse the day
you return (I will also accept an email from your parents). If you know
ahead of time that you will be gone, please bring the excuse before the
concert, so we can plan accordingly. Without the note, you will not be
excused from a performance -- this can have a big impact on your
grade, so be sure to follow through!
• Non-emergency absences from a concert will not be excused.
• Concert clothes are required. You must provide your own solid black
pants. No crop pants or skirts.
• Singers are expected to give their best effort every day. It is in our
rehearsals where we develop our skills to be quality musicians and
performers. Work hard to achieve success for yourself and your team.
• Your grade is based on effort, participation, teamwork, written assignments and test scores, and
how well you improve your vocal, rehearsal, sightsinging, and performance skills.
• Remember, it’s not how much natural skill or talent you have -- it’s what you do with what you do
have! Everyone has something special to contribute to the team.
