I utilize a balanced math approach with my students. This method is made up of 5 different components. In no particular order, the pieces are math review, mental math, problem solving, conceptual understanding, and mastery of math facts. I base my instructional choices off informal and formal assessments and differentiate instruction accordingly. This year we have a math program called Math Connects. This program has many components including an online piece and a book.
