HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT SHEET-STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students are responsible for homework recorded on their green HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT SHEET (HAS). The HAS is filled out at the end of each day, as well as returned to class everyday. The HAS serves as a reading log, parent contact log, and contributes to individual and team points. I encourage communication with parents, so please write directly on the HAS if you have questions regarding classroom procedures or homework assignments. The HAS is the most convenient way to communicate with me in writing, so please feel free to use the back side of the HAS regarding inquiries.
MATHEMATICS
Students have focused on fractions this past month and will transfer new learning to decimal equivalents. Remember, there have been a few more resources added to the MATH RESOURCES link. Please encourage you child to use the online resources to strengthen math skills. link. Many students were given an IXL account last year. Many IXL links are listed on the left menu tab. Students should continue to work on mastery of skills from previous grade levels. As of January, some new links were added to promote mastery of grade level concepts.
READING
Students have access to the On line Journey's Reading Curriculum. Students have numerous opportunities to practice several components of the reading curriculum: fluency, vocabulary, phonics, and comprehension.
