October Sky is a move about Homer Hickam who grows in a mining town and

to teach about Sputnik, the space race, and inquiry. Homer Hickam and
his friends go through the complete scientific process to build and
launch rockets. Kids love this movie and at has become a 7th grade
tradition at WMS.
