Woodbrook will be testing Skyward, an online program, which allows students and parents to access grades. Parent involvement is key to student success. It is our expectation that parents will check Skyward one a regular basis (minimum every two weeks) to stay updated on student performance. Skyward will be up and running in November, until then paper progress reports will go with students every two weeks.
After School Support:
After school help is available on a daily basis for missing assignments, absences, or additional support in any core academic class, Monday- Friday. There will be a 4:15pm and 5:15pm bus provided beginning September 17th. The bus will be available on half days.
A student is considered tardy if they are not in their seat ready to begin one minute after class time begins. An after school detention will be assigned after the 3rd tardy (school wide).
Student is responsible for making up any missing work due to absences. The student will need to make arrangements with the teacher for the due date of the missing work.
Homework and at home practice:
Homework assignments will have a variety of due dates. The teacher will make every effort to clearly communicate the due date for each assignment.
Conferences will be held in November. These are required for all students. Parent and student need to be present during the conference.
Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the following events:
September Open House
February Woodbrook Science Fair
March District Science Fair
