Auburndale Athletic Booster Club Scholarship

 

The Auburndale Athletic Booster Club is offering scholarships totaling not more than $600.00 to qualified seniors who have participated in the athletic programs while attending Auburndale High School. The emphasis of this scholarship is on athletic participation including the athletes, managers, volunteers, etc.  The student must use the funds to cover expenses incurred from attending a two-year technical college program, a two-year university program or a four-year university program.

 

To apply for this scholarship, you must submit an essay detailing why you feel you are deserving of this scholarship.  The essay should include your current GPA, a list of the extra curricular activities and “sports” volunteer work you participated in starting with your freshman year (i.e.:  Booster Club concessions, tournaments, and the like), the school you plan to attend and your planned course of study.  You may if you like, include any accomplishments or honors you have received which you feel the scholarship committee should consider. The essays should be typed and contain a minimum of 200 words.

 

These scholarships are awarded to the winners in good academic standing after their completion of one semester.

The criteria breakout for the Booster Club Scholarship will be as follows:

40% - Participation in Sports

30% - Sports Volunteer Work

20% - Essay

10% - GPA
