  • 1) For all crosscutting operations on the radial arm saw the stock is held against the table
    and guide fence.

  • 2) When using the radial arm saw for crosscutting the work is moved into the blade.
  • 3) The blade on the radial arm saw should cut a minimum of 1/8 inch into the table.
  • 4) The fence should not be adjusted on the radial arm saw.
  • 5) Dadoes, rabbets and bevels could be cut on the radial arm saw.
  • 6) Kickback fingers are never used on a radial arm saw
  • 7) 90% of the time a rip blade will be on the radial arm saw.
  • 8) The radial arm saw should be used for ripping only.
  • 9) You may put one piece of wood on top of another to cut them on the radial arm saw.
  • 10) Do no pull coasting saw out and let it grab the edge of a board.
