The President’s Corner…
The ‘Winds of November’ are blowing, and bringing with it new and exciting
news at County Line. Hello again from the CL PTA! First and foremost,
CONGRATULATIONS to one and all for receiving the Blue Ribbon Award! Every
single one of you did have a ‘hand in it’! A big thank you to all whom
contributed to the events on October 15th with the Blue Ribbon Celebration.
The October PTA meeting took place on October 13th. After many discussions
leading up to the meeting, it was decided upon to change the PTA Meetings
back to the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise specified. I
certainly apologize for any inconvenience the change has made! In addition,
the PTA budget for the 2009-10 school year was approved. Lastly, upcoming
events were discussed in length. There are quite a few exciting events
coming up…including the BOUNCEFEST and FLAPJACK FLURRY! We are working on
finalizing dates for the BounceFest, but at this point looks to be taking
place in the month of November. There will be more details coming soon,
which will be sent home with your child (ren).
Speaking of Bouncefest, thank you to all those families that were able to
sell Entertainment Books and work towards this goal. We ended up coming up
about 24 books shy of the goal, but were able to make arrangements to get the
Bouncefest. Part of this deal was to have additional Entertainment Books to
sell. So…if there is anyone still looking to purchase one, there are still
some available. Please contact Linda Dreger or myself if you are
interested!
FlapJack Flurry is right around the corner as well. The date has been set
for December 3rd. Just like last year, there will be ALL YOU CARE TO EAT
pancakes, with sides of breakfast sausage and applesauce. Also, the Holiday
Gift Shop will be back and better than ever! And…of course we will have the
Poinsettia Sale. Anyone that purchased a poinsettia last year will tell you
just how beautiful of plants we were able to provide from The Flower Source
in Germantown! We are all looking forward to this fun event and would love
to see every one there!
Lastly, there is an upcoming Booster Night at Robert’s in Germantown! Mark
your calendars for November 17th! This is a great family activity and a
percentage of the sales will go directly back to the PTA, which supplements
programs in your school! Let’s take one for the team and enjoy a big ‘ole
burger and some tasty custard! AND…let’s see how much school spirit we can
put into the evening! Wear that County Line attire and show your pride!
I would like to thank anyone that has volunteered for any of the committees.
We really have had a great response. As always, we would love to have
everyone involved, so please, if you can help out in any way we would very
much appreciate it! Again, no role is too small, and is truly a rewarding
experience helping out your child (ren) and your school. Please feel free to
