The President’s Corner… Happy December to one and all! The last month of 2009 is upon us, and in just a few weeks we will be in the next decade, 2010! We certainly went out with a bang in November. Robert’s Booster Night was a HUGE success! Thank you to all those families that were able to make it! Because of your dedication, Robert’s has agreed to increase the return back to County Line School to 13%, which is 3% more than we anticipated. In addition, Robert’s has invited us back in the spring of 2010 for another Booster Night. That date has not yet been determined. So again, thank you all! December 3rd is FlapJack Flurry and the Holiday Gift Shop! Can you feel the excitement? I have to be honest, this is absolutely a fun fun night at County Line and I hope each and every one of you are able to make it. All you can eat pancakes, with sides of sausage, Starbucks Coffee, McDonald’s Orange Drink and ice cold milk will certainly fill you up! And… the holiday shop has been updated with new items that are sure to please! Again, shopping assistance will be present to help in any fashion, along with gift wrappers to tidy up that special gift. And lastly, don’t forget a beautiful poinsettia from The Flower Source. Pick up of preordered plants will take place the night of ‘The Flurry’, BUT… if you happened to miss the preorder, do not worry. New this year we will have a “Cash and Carry” option. On- sight purchasing of plants can be done that night, with pick up on Saturday Dec. 5th at the Flower Source! Trust me, these plants are more than worth it! Check out the PTA website for pictures of the plants. Okay, one more item. We will have the remaining Entertainment Books for sale at FlapJack Flurry, so if you are looking for a last second stocking stuffer, this would be an great idea!!! How are your Reflections projects coming? The due date is coming soon, so keep working on them! We apologize for the late start this year, but rest assured, there is still plenty of time to get your project done! Thank you for all of your hard work on this, as well as Robin Sherman for coordinating Reflections this year. Teachers, thank you for providing direction and assistance with this as well!!! In the months ahead we will be having some fun events, so stay tuned. The annual Sock Hop as well as the Bounce Party will be sure to warm up the cold months ahead! Well, signing off for 2009. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday break and please enjoy your time off. See you in 2010! Warmest regards, Shad Young PTA President Younger85@hotmail.com 262-689-6791
