President’s Corner:
The colors in the trees and the crispness in the air mean my favorite season
has arrived. Happy Fall everyone! Thank you to all of the parents who
attended our September PTA meeting. We had a great teacher turnout as well.
I really appreciate how dedicated our staff and parents are to helping our
students grow and learn! Our members shared some great ideas, some of which we
are looking into. More details to come soon on some easy ways to help us
supplement our Market Day sales to eliminate the need to have a major
fundraiser (ie: catalog sale) every two years. We are focusing on ways that
families can help our PTA by doing things they do anyway (dining out,
shopping, etc.), as well as a possible new fundraising event. Please refer to
the flyer that came home last week for details on a package deal at the
Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells that will benefit our PTA.
Please join us October 7th at 6:30 for our next PTA meeting. Besides
reviewing the budget for this year, getting updates on Fall Fest and hearing
how the County Line Marathon is going, we will also have representatives from
the school district to present information and answer questions about the
upcoming referendum. Avoid the media buzz and come get the facts regarding
this important issue. Whether you are for or against the proposed referendum
questions, specific information on many aspects of the proposal can be found
at the following links:

Thank you to those who stepped up and volunteered to fill our last few
committee chair positions (or at least contacted us to get more info about a
position and are considering it). Also I huge thank you to everyone who is
currently running or working on a committee. The school year starts with a
bang and it is awesome that I can count on so many wonderful volunteers to get
all of our events and programs running from the first day of school and keep
them buzzing along for the rest of the year! We are a very fortunate school
community to have so many people helping us reach our goal of excellence in
education. As always, please contact me with any questions, suggestions,
ideas, or comments.
