| Dear Art Students,
I have decided to try something new this year to help us have our materials
on hand and to make our projects run smoother. Please make yourself an art
folder filled with Xerox, magazine, newspaper or computer generated pictures
of the following items. We will use these pictures throughout the school year
and you will not need to remember to bring them in before each new lesson. The
pictures can be any size except for the ones that are labeled with specific
dimensions. I am looking forward to an exciting and creative year!

Grade 4
Pictures of flowers, fish and horses
Grade 5
Pictures of food that is not in packages-fruit, meat market items, vegetables,
candy, pies, bakery items, breads, doughnuts, etc.
Pictures of human faces showing expression.
NEXT WEEK- please bring a large leaf or two in a plastic bag.
Grade 6
Simple landscapes with 4-5 features-hills, plateaus, bluffs, trees, etc.
8x10 Medieval knights in full armor.
Animal heads suitable for mask making.
8x10 Birds for scratch art work
Dragons-fantasy based
Grade 7
Landscapes-preferably 8x10 in size
4x6 Xerox copy of any face
Favorite cartoon character
Grade 8
8x10 Xerox of self-head shot-school pictures work well.
Pictures of the Nativity with as many characters/animals as possible for our
3-D display
